I saw this film last summer at a test screening, where the director and cast were present. Going in to watch the film, I knew the director was only 17 years old and wasn't expecting much… I was blown away! The film is a simple crime drama revolving around the last day of a Bulgarian mafia boss named Sergey. We witness Sergey's personal life (mostly the crumbling relationship he has with his daughter) and his battle with his enemies. The entire film takes place over the course of one day, using a very interesting narrative device (I won't give away any spoilers). The film was wonderfully shot and directed, and had a great cast of unknown actors that did a wonderful job. It is not a perfect film, but miles more than anything I have ever seen from the majority of student filmmakers. I have to give credit to the young director (only 17) who pulled off this feature film while still in high school. I look forward to more work from him in the future. Definitely worth the watch.
