I just watched this movie the whole way through. It actually is a decent little movie. I mean it's no masterpiece but for a stupid comedy this is actually pretty good.
The plot of this movie (but does it really matter?) is that in between 9AM and 8AM terrorists put attacks on Burger Kings all around America and it's up to spys or parody's of Keifer Sutherland's 24 to go around and stop the terrorists and save their beloved fast food chain.
The entire movie seems like a more unsubtle product placement than Mac and Me (which is an accomplishment, believe me when I say that is no easy task) It does get a little tiring after a while but it's like a 100 minute joke with a punchline. The punchline being after 23 hours of killing terrorists blowing up Burger Kings and expressing their love for it as well as their hate for McDonalds to contradict it all by aying "I'm Hungry" "you know what I haven't had in a while, McDonalds".
Aside from that I appreciate Craig's hard work. He did say they spent 4 years on it and that is something I do respect. The writing is pretty good (not great but good), the acting is good (well, they're over the top but that might have been intentional).
I guess that the only bad thing I have to say about this movie is that… I have never seen 24 and therefore could not really understand some of the jokes being played out in the movie. I think that if Craig wants to parody again (and it shows that he does – just look at his YouTube Channel) to try and pick something up that people might know more or parody other things (but connected to each other). Either that and it runs for about 25 minutes too long. I mean seriously 1 hour and 45 minutes where the main goal of the heroes are to save Burger King does get a little bit much.
With that being said the movie plays on the ridiculous side of humour. The main antagonist turns out to be someone Craig's character stole lunch money from in the 5th grade and he wants him to pay it back. If you don't like that sort of humour then this is not for you.
So if you are a fan of their parody's (and have seen 24) then this movie is definitely one to pick up. I just hope that these guys continue making full length movies. They have made very promising stuff.
