Although not a big Hollywood production this cast and crew get it right! After the horrible Halloween(8)-Resurrection all but destroyed a once mighty franchise, the team behind "Resurgence" managed to pick the pieces up and bring us a franchise worthy story complete with scares, a tiny touch of humor and a haunting score. Don't go in expecting a big blow out production, remember to keep in mind that this IS a "FAN FILM" made by some die hard fans FOR us other die-hard followers of Michael Myers. Kudos go out across the entire production cast and crew with a special "two thumbs up" to writer, director and countless other credits on the film, Darren Jones for masterminding the project and not to mention an awesome "Halloween" score for the film. LOVED IT!!! Hope to hear MUCH more from you Mr. Jones!
If I had to opportunity to ask the makers of this film one thing, I would ask them the following:
"Couldn't you have tried a little harder to hide the fact that you were shooting in Canada?"
But seriously, really? Canadian accents, money, street signs (really KM/H?), etc. I understand that this was filmed for an extremely cheap amount of money, and the actors aren't Jamie Lee Curtis and Josh Hartnett, but you could have tried a little to hide something. Try some film editing techniques to make your shots look a little less Canadian, please!
Other than that (and the bad acting, which I understand), there is actually a decent feel for a classic Halloween movie here. Thumbs up for a real Halloween fan making a movie that tries to stay on path.

But seriously, you can have tried a little bit. Canada, really?
