A race team is driving to Canada to participate in an auto race. They decide to take a shortcut through a lonely road and when they surpass the truck of Rusty Nail (Ken Kirzinger), the psychopathic trucker hunts the down and captures each one of them to torture and kill.
"Joy Ride 3" is an awful collection of clichés with the usual stupidities of the characters and situations and omnipresence of the indestructible villain. The car has a flat tire when the driver is not near his friends; the cellular never work when the group is in danger; the group splits and tries to rescue the friend that is in danger instead of calling the police; the killer does not die and is always one step ahead of the group; the girl leaves a safe position to help the good guy and only jeopardizes the situation; the police officers take always the most stupid attitude to die. The good thing is the gore and realistic special effects. In the end, I do not understand why I spent my time watching this predictable garbage. My vote is three.

First i need to apologize to my brain,my eyes and my ears after watching this movie.
The only thing that is good about this movie is that now i know that i have watched the worst movie ever.This is crime to the first joy ride. I cant even decide what is the worst part of the movie…Is it director,is it acting,is it story…
I watched good movies and i watched the bad ones.I watched stupid movies,i watched movies that made me hate myself for weeks after watching. But this goes beyond.Joy ride 3 was so bad that it made me want to claw my eyes out.
I don't want to waste any more time on this movie by telling you how bad it is,because it would take me forever…

What made the first two interesting is that the victims were legitimately less-than-wonderful people. This one starts off right with two crack-heads trying to trick Rusty into being robbed – their deaths were justifiable.
The rest of the movie is Rusty trying to get even with SIX young adults, because ONE had the nerve to splash gravel on his rig (ooohhhh nasty – definitely deserving of a death penalty). The primary female victim is the most innocent of the bunch, wanting to go to the cops to tattle on her FRIEND.
Joy Ride has been built around the "Revenge Thriller" premise – and completely missed the boat on this one… It's just a psychopath killing for fun.
This movie sucked ass!!! The acting was horrible and there were so many flaws. That girl(jewel, I think was her name in the movie) could have totally out ran that semi truck and not have gotten kidnapped! I was really hoping the blonde girl would live in the end, but no she gets tied to the top of the truck and is splattered by running into the bridge!!!! That's where I turned off the movie, I did not watch passed that part!! There are so many other things that could have been done in the movie to prevent a bad thing from happening!! When the main character(forgot his name, blond girls boyfriend)found the video of his girlfriend screaming in the car trunk, how did the truck driver get back in his truck without him or the other girl (brunette, only other girl in the movie, with the main characters) seeing him get up, after she ran him over with the Subaru, and get back up in his truck? THIS MOVIE SUCKS Don't WATCH IT!!!! IT PISSSED ME OFF WHEN RUSTY NAIL(truck drivers name forgot to mention that earlier) KILLED THE BLOND GIRL LIKE THAT!!!
