The movie is low budget, but it's got class. It's one thing to have class when your budget is in the millions, quite another when it's small. I really enjoyed the writing as well.
Characters are brilliant. Acting is good, probably no academy award nominees, but it's more than satisfying.
Overall, the movie being noir and low budget goes hand in hand very well. Dan Eberle's production company's name "Insurgent Pictures", again, fits very well. This is the kind of cinema I want to see more of.
Dan Eberle has got my applause and I'm awaiting his future work.
Rarely log on to comment, this time though the writer, director, camera nailed me to my chair. With drama, high action? No, wasn't needed.
The poignant weave of the lives, the overlapping of their lives and his death, that is what had me hard to my seat. This, after thinking he was only having a 'bad-day', only to see he'd already come to terms with his mortality and was hoping for one more 'atta-boy' from the world.
Was it the next Gladiator? No. However, I feel I am a better person for having experienced their vision of one man's death. Perhaps it is my age that helps me see what the writer, director, camera wanted to show. Then again, it was well done and I enjoyed it greatly.
