Storyline A seasonal story about a young woman’s struggle (Jennifer) to find her true path in life. Along the way she goes through many wild and sometimes dangerous situations. Set in modern day South Jamaica Queens. In a young world without boundaries, sexual images, alcohol, drugs and Hip Hop, everyone is having the time of their lives, but things eventually spiral out of control. 5 Seasons speaks directly to people coming of age in this tech era, where love is a commodity and everything is disposable. This was a great movie. I enjoyed the creative editing and the storyline. This is a great coming of age movie for these times as well as a back in the day reminder for the older crowd. Im sure that anyone who views the whole movie will be reminded of a time when they realized the err of their way and said that if they got out if this crazy situation, they will definitely make better positive decisions. I enjoyed all the acting; Lisa Garrett did an excellent job as her role of Vicky and Noelle Morales, in her first big screen performance, did a great job as Jennifer. I really enjoyed original music! My favorite song is "He watches over you" and one of my favorite scenes is Craigs fancy footwork, at work. Look for more creations from the multi talented, on the cutting edge writer, director, producer Shawn Raynor and his team. I urge you to take a look at 5 Seasons The Movie and see for yourself!
To start, I wasn't really feeling the cover art. It looks like someone was in the middle of editing it, got distracted and mistakenly submitted it for finale use. The movie however was surprisingly good. If I was a parent with kids 13-18, I would definitely use it as a sit down movie, to spark a conversation about current events in their life! Honestly for readers that supports urban authors, its gonna remind you of books by Shannon Holmes, Terry McMillan, Wahida Clark, Geavonnie Frazier, T.N. Baker, Terry Woods and Mark twain! In conclusion, I would say ages 17 and up could comfortably enjoy watching the movie. The journey that Jim, Earl and Jennifer travels will definitely take you on an emotional roller coaster, certainly has its lows and highs.
