Storyline A roller-coaster ride of emotions through Manchester City’s exciting 2009/10 season. Following five City fans in their battered bus ‘Helios’ as they traverse the country hoping for glory, but not expecting it. This film is an exploration of what it means to be a true football fan. A story of passion and undying faith in a club, win, lose or draw. The movie is in turns hilarious, dramatic, moving and uplifting – an exhilarating examination of the power of football to move people. Written by Anonymous |

…and I don't like football, I just don't get the passion for the game and the devotion to it so I watched this as it is from a true fans viewpoint. It hasn't changed my mind about what I think about football but I was still captivated by those interviewed and why they feel how they do about the game and their club. This is a quality documentary, the fans we follow give true insight that is rarely explored but includes players, owners, managers to give a variety of perspectives. The direction and handling of the narrative is skillful in this directors hand to a quality we see from leaders in the field like Kevin McDonald. Regardless of whether you like, love or don't care about the game of football I highly recommend viewing this; it's what a documentary should be, a document of a time, place and events that people can view decades from now and see how things were even if the subject has a limited appeal or audience.
I just finished watching this movie which gives you a good inside view of the lives of some "hardcore" MC-fans. These guys really don't have a life, and the worst part is they don't even realize it. I mean, if the most imported things in your life are your local soccerclub(where no locals are playing) and some pub, you're living in a very small world. Or maybe it is because you're living in a very small world, these things are so important to you……hmm, might be something to chew on for a psychiatrist. Don't get me wrong, i'm a soccerfan myself, but these guys are really pathetic in my book. I wonder what they would do when their club stopped to exist tomorrow??
