I wouldn't recommend to anybody wasting their money (or time) watching this. Nothing warned us, saw the trailer and read the summary online. And we were looking forward to watch , you know, supporting Mexican films and actors. Started pretty decent with what we tought was an promising plot (wrong), and finally turned out as a completely stupid nonsense. As previously stated, It is a waste to use that amazing cast so poorly. Makes you laugh, yes, maybe twice; but ugh… It was almost embarrassing to watch. Its the kind of movie you would like it to be forgettable so you could pretend you never went to the cinemas and payed for it but sadly you cant. What can I say about Chabelo's cameo? Certainly… Interesting. But not the good kind of 'interesting' tho.
A film too pretentious. Have a good start, but little by little it is diluted with the film advance. Lack of solid story, with details tacky. Exacerbes many of the current social problems in Mexico, such as lack of security, values and corruption. The crime of this movie is having too Andrés Bustamante's expectations. The performances of the rest of cast are poor. Abusers use the name actors like María Rojo or Kate del Castillo to attract the public, but they only appear a few seconds. In summary, The Crime of Cacaro Gumaro is a lamentable waste of time and money. Watch it, just if you desire to support the Mexican film industry.
