It presents a well-rounded perspective of the surfing lifestyle. The characters are endearing and have depth. It carries the viewer from the carefree perspective of two young men who live to surf, to the more somber reality of an older generation who gave their life to surfing. Teaches life lessons in balancing both the pleasures and responsibilities of life. By the end of the movie, I felt a connection to the characters. I related to their needs and desires, despite theirs being a lifestyle that I have never know. This film presents well this human experience and looks at it from a broad perspective. I enjoyed it thoroughly and recommend it to others. It makes this 39 year old woman want to take up surfing.
